Who we are

The Maimurna Hope Foundation for Cancer and Ostomy Care ("MHFCO", "we") is a non-profit organisation registered in Nigeria, with offices at Flat 2 Block D, No. 4, Arondizuogu Close, FCDA Quarters Site II, Garki 2, Abuja. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

• Donors: name, email, country, optional phone and message. Card details are collected and processed by Paystack, not by MHFCO.
• People requesting support: name, phone, state, and the type of support needed. Because this may reveal health information, we collect only what is needed and treat it as sensitive.
• Enquiries, volunteers and partners: the details you choose to send us.
• Newsletter subscribers: your email address, used only to send you MHFCO updates until you unsubscribe.

How we use it

To process and acknowledge donations, to contact you about the support you asked for, to respond to enquiries, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use health information for fundraising.

Photos and stories

We only publish photos or stories of beneficiaries with their written consent, and you may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Who we share it with

Paystack (payment processing), our website host and email provider (to deliver messages sent through this website), Cloudflare Turnstile (which checks that our forms are sent by people, not automated programs), and, only with your agreement, healthcare partners who can help with your care. These providers may store data outside Nigeria under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Donation records are kept as long as required for financial and audit purposes. Support-request details are deleted when no longer needed for your care.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by calling +234 813 209 8981 or emailing [email protected]. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Paystack may set cookies needed to process payments securely.
